

Andreas has experience both from the industry and academia,
having worked in pharma for three years and becoming Assoc. Prof. at Uppsala
University in 2017. During his time at Uppsala, Andreas got known as the go-to
guy for illustrations, and started the Visualize Your Science course in 2011
due to popular demand. As interest in the course grew, Andreas saw an
opportunity to teach full time, and left academia in 2016 to start his own
company. Andreas is the resident expert in Blender and Affinity Designer.
Kess is an experimental surface scientist with a Ph.D. in
Chemical Physics who has worked with UHV-systems, ultra-fast lasers,
synchrotrons, and a various spectroscopic and microscopic methods. After a
postdoc at KTH, her love for drawing and science communication, caused her to
join Visualize your Science as an instructor, illustrator, and course
developer. Kess is also our resident Inkscape expert.
Markus has studied and done research in the UK, Sweden as
well as taught in Finland. He branched out from Analytical Chemistry research
and took an interest in teaching and pedagogics during his scientific career.
Markus enjoys photography, fishing and carpentry and is our main man working
behind the scenes here at Visualize Your Science.
